Grown content,
put back in order.
The Swiss Society for Clinical Neurophysiology had a site that had quietly outgrown its own architecture — and an office doing by hand what the site should have been doing.

at the same time.
Technically the site needed TYPO3 major updates and a newer PHP version, with security and performance improvements alongside. Structurally the information architecture had stopped making sense: over the years, topics for very different audiences could no longer be told apart, and some of them sat under several main menu items at once.
And visually it no longer met what a specialist medical society would want to show of itself.
Content first,
then the shell.
Every page examined
All existing content was gone through systematically and restructured in close cooperation with the client. Reduced design and clear guidance, so that very different visitors each find their information efficiently.
Events with registration
Tailored extensions allow congresses, further education and examinations to be recorded in detail, with registration directly on the site. The registration data flows into an internal database instead of into an inbox.
Less work for the office
The point of all of it: the administrative effort of the office dropped noticeably. A website earns its keep when it takes work away, not when it looks good.
The first step,
not the last.
The next stage connects the registration processes to a new membership administration for associations and societies — with automatic invoicing and reminders that no longer depend on someone remembering.
“Modern and up to date — and it gives us security and data protection.”
For several years MADLAB has supported and accompanied us in our IT projects. We would like to thank them warmly for the solution-oriented advice and design, the friendly support and the professional implementation of our project. We look forward to continuing an exciting collaboration.

what a site could do?
Registrations, reminders, invoices — the boring half is usually where the hours actually go.
