Services

Six areas,
one team.

They are not separate departments. Most projects touch three of them at once — a system, an app in front of it, and somewhere for the whole thing to live.

Talk it through →
Software

Where the standard
runs out.

Some work does not fit into a product you can buy. That is where a system gets built — one that follows the actual process instead of bending it.

More about Software
Clay-motion still life: a cardboard system board with clay pictogram tiles, two small boxes plugged in with clay tubes
Clay-motion still life: a large cardboard phone with six clay app tiles, loose tiles in front and a small cardboard tablet
Apps

Apps that outlive
their launch.

Getting into the store is the small part. What decides whether an app works is what sits behind it — a backend that holds up, notifications that actually arrive, and someone who ships the next version.

AI

Not a demo.
A part of the system.

Language models are most useful where the work already happens — inside the application, connected to the real data, doing the step that used to be done by hand.

Clay-motion still life: a wooden machine with a glass chamber of clay cubes on threads, a paper funnel on its side
Clay-motion still life: a browser window as a wooden board with paper blocks and clay buttons, a small cardboard phone leaning on it
Websites

A website someone
can actually keep.

The launch is the easy part. What counts is whether the people in the organisation can still update it six months later without calling anyone.

MADLAB // Tools

Made in
our own lab.

Some parts were needed so often that it was worth building them properly once. They came out of client projects, they are maintained like products, and they are available wherever the next project needs them.

Clay-motion still life: a wooden pegboard with cardboard modules and clay pictograms, spools of coloured wire in front
Clay-motion still life: two rows of miniature cardboard server cabinets with an aisle, clay indicator dots and twine cables
Datacenter

A home for
the data.

Into the cloud, but not just any cloud. Our own infrastructure sits in the Bern region — close enough that someone can drive there, and under Swiss law rather than someone else's.

The same route every time

Understand. Plan.
Build. Grow.

Whichever area a project starts in, it runs through the same four stages. That is what keeps a small website and a system for two hundred people from needing two different kinds of attention.

How we work
Let’s talk

Not sure which
of them it is?

That is normal, and it is our job rather than yours. Describe what is in the way and we will work out where it belongs.
