Case study · Hospitality Summit

Two days, several stages,
one programme.

The leading accommodation congress in Switzerland, with over 1,500 executives and hosts meeting in Bern. For 2026 the site needed more confidence — and a technical base without leftovers.

The brief

It worked.
It just did not carry.

The existing website did its job. But for 2026 the organisers wanted an appearance that matches the growing weight of the congress — familiar in its basic direction, but more modern and more distinct.

Underneath, the technical base had reached the point where another round of patching would have cost more than a fresh start.

What we did

New colour,
new foundation.

01

A pink that will not be ignored

The new look came out of our own house: a strong, almost defiant pink that gives the whole appearance a shot of confidence. What worked kept its structure, new elements were added, the rest was refined.

02

Rebuilt on TYPO3 14

The whole site was set up again on a TYPO3 14 instance with our own extensions brought up to date — a base for the coming editions instead of another layer on the old one.

03

The programme as the centrepiece

Across both days, forums, sessions, awards, camps and workshops run in parallel over several stages and rooms. The programme view shows overlaps at a glance, filters by topic, stage or keyword, and switches between views — including a timeline at different scales.

The result

A dense agenda
becomes a route through it.

Anyone preparing for the congress can see what runs at the same time and assemble their own two days, instead of working through a PDF list and hoping for the best.

Let’s talk

An event with more
going on than fits a list?

Parallel sessions, several stages, people who want to plan ahead — that is a layout problem before it is a technical one.
